THE SITUATION:
The bus company was experiencing clogging issues with their fuel injector nozzles and suspected it was due to contamination and water in the bio-diesel fuel. Searching for a way to solve their issues they contacted Triple R to investigate and provide a solution.
In the buses contamination & water were leading to:
- Clogging of the fuel injector nozzles
- Fuel filters only lasted 10,000 km
- Increased emissions and reduced efficiency and performance
It was concluded that contamination and water caused 80% of failures.

THE SOLUTION:
The B7-S500 fuel is a mixture of 93% diesel and 7% Biodiesel which usually features a high level of contamination, water and sludge. Further, when it comes in contact with the atmosphere, chemical reactions produce rust and other residues. Triple R designed a solution to provide clean fuel to the buses at the filling station in a single pass using an SS305 with D-Series elements. The cleaner was installed on the main line between the tank and the bus ensuring the bus received perfectly clean fuel every time.

THE RESULTS:

- The filter press plates change interval was extended to 3 months (96% increase)
- Eliminated breakdowns caused by fuel filter clogging
- Original fuel filter life were extended to 30,000 Km (66% increase)
